Ixtapa – Zihuatanejo is a picturesque town surrounded by mountains and tropical forests.  Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo has managed to preserve all the attractions that have made it so highly sought after with virtually unspoiled beaches, a spectacular marina, year-round sun, a calm, clean sea, exuberant vegetation and exotic birds.  Today, although much of the city has been modernized, it has managed to keep its village ambiance. 

Also in Guerrero is Taxco, a magical town famous for its crafts and silver items, particularly jewelry. Taxco has a small-town feel and to this day, remains loyal to its silver mining past. Its cobble-stone streets, cable-car rides, silver shops and numerous outdoor activities are only a few of the reasons travelers are taken by Taxco. Be sure to check out the splendid architecture of the Santa Prisca church, a masterpiece of Mexican Baroque architecture. Also visit the Cacahuamilpa Caverns, considered the most beautiful caverns in the country and a popular spot for cave diving.
